I have a half an hour to myself right now.

60-second-rant, GO!

ARRRGGHH work has been crazy. For no reason at all. I had five classes yesterday, and four each day two days before that, and today I have three. And it came at the worst time because my back is hurting (don't know how I hurt it) and being on my feet all day isn't helping. And I haven't been able to RP at ALL because I come home exhausted and I have no time during the day and it's made me REALLY upset and cranky and I wish I could play with all of you guys because I really miss it. :(

*deep breath*

HERE HAVE A MEME.

Stolen from [livejournal.com profile] viridian and [livejournal.com profile] chanter_greenie:

Give me a character and I will tell you...

* How I FEEEEEL about this character
* All the people I ship romantically with this character
* My non-romantic OTP for this character -
* My unpopular opinion about this character
* One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.

*First of all let me say that Julian is YUMMY. That is the best word I can think of to describe him. He's calm and mysterious and, in my opinion, sort of quietly sexy. And he surprised me with his dark sense of humor when I first read the novel. I absolutely love what my sister's done with the character. ♥ The other soft spot I have for Julian is that he's under my Sign. My sister recently told me that she wouldn't have known a lot about how to write for him if she wasn't so close to me. (And, oddly, I feel like she's been learning a lot about me by writing this book.) Our personalities are very similar-- quiet and reserved, with a tendency to even come off as stand-off-ish or stuck-up, but empathetic and possessing a secret and sometimes repressed desire for the very deepest form of intimacy.

*I ship Julian with Frederick, and also I have fun playing with him and Nick. But my sister has already hinted to me that Julian ends up with someone who shows up later, so I'm keeping my mind open for that. I can't wait to see what happens.

*I'd also include Frederick and Nick in a non-romantic list, but just for variety I'll say Julian's guardian, Elijah (the Knight of Neptune before him). I don't know much about Elijah compared to some of the other guardians, except that he wasn't as much of a pessimist as Julian is. Julian had particular difficulty (or at least opposition) on his road to becoming a Knight, and I'm sure Elijah was a great encouragement to him through all of that. (Also, as a side note, I'm sure the dreams Elijah appears in must be amazing-- always by the ocean, or even underwater.)

*"Unpopular" is a little difficult when I'm one of maybe six readers. One thing my mom and I probably disagree about in regards to Julian is that I revel in how creepy he can be sometimes, whereas my mom likes to pretend that all the Knights are sweet and innocent. But that's just my mom.

*I'm pretty optimistic that most of the things I want to happen to Julian will probably happen in some form or another. Partly because I don't want anything too specific, but also because my sister and I have similar tastes, and she's definitely writing the sort of book she'd want to read. But one thing I'm looking forward to is how Julian and Nick's relationship is going to develop as Nick starts to get a little older. They're oddly similar in a lot of ways, and my sister has hinted at exploring their interactions a bit more as they start to happen.

Thanks for asking, Fi! This was fun. ^.^
