Frederick and Julian! Sloppy sloppy sloppy…
“Quick getaways are my specialty,” Frederick cut in, with a cheery wave of his hand. “As for my friend and cohort, I can't say I envy the vampire who gives Julian any trouble.”
He gave his friend a knowing smirk, who returned it in kind.
“Meanwhile, I have my doubts about this particular ensemble,” he sighed, reaching into his pocket for a small mirror, which he began using to inspect himself. “It's a bit stark for my skin tone, if you ask me. I look like the dearly departed at a funeral.”
See, this is the kind of flirting these two do. ♥
There are a couple things about this picture that are not quite accurate, because I was not really paying close attention on the re-reading. But I won't go into those—you get the idea. XD
Oh!!! And before anyone starts groaning and saying "OMIGAWD THERE ARE VAMPIRES IN THIS STOOPID STORY R U KIDDING ME D:", I feel I must point out that these are not actual vampires. It's just a convenient name astromancers have for magicians who steal people's energy, which is illegal and considered highly immoral. (/sensitive XD)
Trust me, if there had been gratuitous vampires I would have groaned too, right in front of my sister. I'm actually pretty critical of her work when it deserves it, because I want her to be the best she can be. She wrote another story before this one, and it was not as good, and I kind of had to admit that to her... This one is SO much better, so much everything I've always envied her for. ♥
