I'm really bored so I'm going to show you guys another glimpse of my progress with the skating picture so far. That wasn't what I was working on, but I'm thinking I'll probably go back to it this week.
So you guys get a Julian.
After sketching, Julian was actually the person I was most worried about coming out nicely. But he actually came out pretty good.
The scarf was sort of an afterthought. Now it's like, one of my favorite parts of the picture. XD
So yeah, I finished inking and laying down the base colors. Which was a project—I have never seen such a happy rainbow of outfits, lol. Plus there's seven of them; lots of coloring to do. ._.;
Now I just have to do shading, which is always the boring part. (But I've learned my lesson tonight and will stick with simple cell shading! XD Maybe blur it a bit.) And then I'm dreading the background. I hate actual backgrounds that aren't just gradients or patterns or something lame. They usually end up a fuzzy mess. But since it's snow, I suppose it will be okay?
