Intro Post!
Apr. 22nd, 2010 12:52 amHi! Since I'm going to be using this as my main journal from now on, I thought it would be a good idea to do something of an introduction.
My name is Karin (pronounced the same as "Karen"). I'll go by anything, really... My most common internet alias is "SpinelStar," so "Spinel" or "Spiney" or "Star" works fine. XD Some other aliases I've used include: Agent Indigo, Twilit Princess (yes twiLIT, not twiLIGHT), and Phantom Fairy.
I'm a Japanese major right now, graduating in May. I also really like to sing and act, and consider myself at least somewhat accomplished at the former. I love singing opera and worked with an amazing teacher for several years. Some of my other hobbies include: drawing, writing, poetry, and reading.
I'm a big fan of anime, though I really haven't watched as much as I've wanted to. I'm not sure why. I think it's mostly because I tend to get stuck on one thing for a while-- for example, I was into nothing but Prince of Tennis for three years straight. And it's not just anime that I like... I'm really into Twilight and Star Trek. It's like the geek trifecta!
Currently, I live in the southwest United States. I have kind of a strange sleep schedule... I tend to sleep until noon (if I can) and stay up until 3 or 4 in the morning. But my time schedule is going to change drastically very soon, because...
I GOT A JOB TO TEACH ENGLISH IN JAPAN!!! :D
So! I'll be moving over there in late July. And since I'll be working, I'll have a much more normal time schedule. So... sixteen-hour time difference from where I currently live, plus the change in schedule... Math is hard! XD But I'll work it out somehow, when it comes to RPing. If not, then slowtimes are always love. ♥
Feel free to talk to me about anything! Cannot emphasize that enough. I'm really super shy, so it's unlikely that I'll talk to you first, even if I want to. I'll try to get better at that! >.< But yes, I love it when people talk to me so please feel free to. It makes me feel special. :3
